Blood tests from basic to advanced
Blood tests are an important part of a general health check, helping doctors diagnose or monitor a patient's specific medical condition.
Especially for
- Clients registering for intravenous micronutrient infusion services.
- Individuals requiring routine health check-ups.
- Those exhibiting symptoms such as fever, fatigue, weakness, inflammation, or bleeding.
Purpose of the Assessment
- Evaluate the overall health of organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, blood lipids, diabetes, trace elements, thyroid indices, nutrition, cancer markers, etc.
- Diagnose the causes of symptoms and signs such as weakness, fatigue, fever, inflammation, bruising, or bleeding.
- Monitor the condition and progression of diseases in individuals diagnosed with anemia, leukemia, or polycythemia vera, etc.
- Track the treatment process for patients on medication that may affect blood cell counts.
Venous Blood Draw Procedure with Syringe
Step 1: Verify customer information: ask for their name, date of birth, and address to ensure it matches the customer record. Inform them about the purpose of the blood draw, the amount of blood required, and the expected time for results. Encourage and assist the customer in assuming the most comfortable position for blood collection.
Step 2: Expose the venipuncture site, choosing a prominent and stable vein. Place an arm rest and tourniquet under the venipuncture site.
Step 3: Apply the tourniquet approximately 10-15 cm above the venipuncture site, tight enough to engorge the vein. Disinfect the venipuncture site with sterile cotton/gauze soaked in alcohol.
Step 4: Insert the needle through the skin into the vein and draw the required amount of blood as specified for each test tube. The customer is continuously monitored to ensure comfort and safety.
Step 5: Remove the tourniquet, quickly withdraw the needle, stretch the skin, apply a dry cotton ball to the puncture site, and instruct the customer to apply pressure without massaging the area. Apply a bandage over the wound site.
Step 6: Gently transfer the blood into the test tube. If the test tube contains anticoagulant, gently invert it up and down about 8-10 times. This ensures the blood mixes evenly with the chemicals in the test tube.
Step 7: Help the customer return to a comfortable position suitable for the puncture site and inform them of any abnormalities (if any) such as fluid leakage, swelling, or pain at the venipuncture site.
Step 8: Send the blood sample to the laboratory for testing. Customers will be notified of the results via phone or at the next consultation appointment.
